Hypocalcemia
(Low Calcium in the Blood)

Calcium is one of the most important minerals that your body needs. It is found in milk and milk products, vegetables, fruit and other sources. Regular weight bearing exercise will help keep calcium in your bones. Because you may also have to avoid milk and milk products, you need to take a calcium supplement. A calcium supplement will help prevent your bones from becoming brittle. This condition will not show up for a few years. Once calcium is lost from your bones, it cannot be replaced. You can prevent this by taking extra calcium and staying on a regular exercise program.

Note:
If you are having muscle cramps, charlie horses, or similar symptoms, the nightly calcium teamed with magnesium will often solve the problem.
